c) Recruitment and Selection

HCMC consultants have in-depth knowledge, skills and experience in successfully developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to fill roles in various cadres covering various sectors.

We are trained and certified in various recruitment and selection methods including competency based interviews, assessment centres, experienced hires recruitment processes, psychometrics and personality testing amongst other techniques.

d) Performance Management

HCM consultants have expertise and training in review and development of simplified, robust performance management systems that are aligned to attainment of organisations strategic objectives and corporate planning processes. These include the balanced score card approach, management of performance by objectives amongst others.

Methodology/ Approach:

Information Gathering – In collaboration with the client, and key stakeholders, we strive to get an in-depth understanding of the client’s organisations current performance management system, its application and delivery against current strategic objectives, we will gather and review information from relevant documentation as well as conduct interviews with relevant staff members and stakeholder bodies.

e) Employee Relations Management

HCMC Consultants have good track record, expertise and knowledge of labour laws applicable in country as well as development and implementation of employee relations policies and successful negotiation of collective bargaining agreements which result in win/ win outcomes for both the employees and employer. This ensures a harmonious work environment that promotes productivity and attainment of individual as well as organisation goals.

Methodology/ Approach:

Conducting employee satisfaction surveys to determine levels of employee satisfaction as well as dissatisatisfaction and determine, recommend requisite remedial actions necessary.

Engagement of employee and management teams on labour laws and requisite employer / employee obligations and commitments thereof, for example right of employees to join trade unions.

Provision of technical advice on potential litigation issues such as unfair or procedural termination of employment and ways of minimising/ reducing litigation costs and negative impact on risk reputation to organisation.

f) Outsourced Staff Management

HCMC facilitate provision of outsourced staff management services. This is as a result of realisation that is increasingly becoming a necessity for growth oriented companies seeking to cut down on operational overheads. The potential for reducing costs through outsourcing is enormous. In addition the list of services that can be outsourced is virtually endless. Each outsourcing situation comes with its own unique features, and we will ensure that the right outsourcing solution is available to meet your needs.

Methodology/ Approach:

Engage client to determine scope and range of services that may require outsourcing. Develop and implement contractual services agreement with client.

HCMC facilitates the process of applying for and obtaining work permits for expatriates / non Kenyan staff to enable them take up employment offers for various companies that have issued them with employment contracts subject to obtaining valid working documentation status in Kenya.

Working with our contacts through the immigration ministry, we have been able to successfully present applications for expatriate work permits in cases where skills are either not available in the country or on a bais of investor basis level for consideration.
